ECOWAS PSSM Instructors
In the ECOWAS region, a total of 151 participants were trained within the Training-of-Trainers process with MSAG (2018 - 2023), out of which 14 were certified as ECOWAS PSSM Instructors and 10 as ECOWAS Senior PSSM Instructors.
As of May 2026, the certified instructors have been able to train a total of 186 participants in regional as well as national courses, so called In-Country PSSM Trainings, independent from external instructors. The ECOWAS Commission and bicc continue to work together in maintaining, expanding and utilising the ECOWAS PSSM Instructor Pool, that currently consists of a total of 24 ECOWAS PSSM Instructors, out of which 13 are ECOWAS Senior PSSM Instructors.
