States cannot tackle the threat of weapons and ammunition proliferation on their own. Recognising the value of regional cooperation, BICC, RECSA, and MSAG have trained a core group of instructors in simple yet effective arms control and management methods for resource-limited settings. After three years of training, the first group of Physical Security and Stockpile Management (PSSM) Senior Instructors are now applying their expertise in their home countries and training armed forces in conflict and armed violence-affected regions across Africa.
